Accessibility statement

Last updated 21 October 2026

We want everyone to be able to use thepathofplay.com, whatever their abilities and however they access the web. This statement explains how accessible the site is, what we are doing to improve it, and how to tell us about any problems.

The standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We design and build with accessibility in mind from the start, rather than adding it afterwards.

Using this site

You should be able to:

  • zoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen;
  • move around the site using just a keyboard, with a clear outline showing where you are;
  • use a screen reader, with headings in a logical order, labelled form fields and links that make sense out of context;
  • read a text description of any image that carries meaning (our illustrations are decorative, so screen readers skip them);
  • reduce animation, if you have asked your device to minimise motion; and
  • use the site on a phone, tablet or computer.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible the site is

We believe the site meets WCAG 2.2 AA. Before launch, automated checks found no failures on any page, once we had fixed the few problems they found. We have not yet tested the site with a screen reader, or with disabled people, so there may be problems these checks can’t find. If you come across one, please tell us.

There are no videos on the site yet. When we add them, they will play in YouTube’s video player, which we don’t control. YouTube publishes its own information about the accessibility of its player.

Links from this site to Coachwise.co, YouTube and social media take you to sites with their own accessibility statements.

Feedback and alternative formats

If you find something on the site hard to use, or you need content in a different format, such as large print or an easy-read version, please email hello@thepathofplay.com. Tell us the web address of the page, what you were trying to do and what went wrong.

We will reply within five working days, and we will tell you how long it will take to provide what you need.

If you are not happy with our response

Please tell us first, so we have a chance to put it right. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) in England, Scotland and Wales, or the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland if you live in Northern Ireland.

How we test the site

The site was last tested on 21 October 2026, before launch. We tested every page that will be published at launch: the home page, the Game Philosophy and Life Practice pages, the seven pieces, the eight functions, About, Newsletter, Contact, the legal pages and the page-not-found page. We used automated checks (axe-core, against WCAG 2.2 levels A and AA) and keyboard checks in Chrome, and checked every page at a screen width of 320 pixels (the same as 400% zoom). We checked the animated illustrations with reduced motion turned on, in Chrome and Safari’s engine. We have not yet tested the site with a screen reader.

This statement was prepared on 6 October 2026 and last reviewed on 21 October 2026. We will review it at least once a year and whenever we make significant changes to the site.
